Student Opportunities Committee
Allocates funds to WWU students for professional and personal development. This committee is advised by the Student Engagement Business Services Manager, Cynthia Sandstrom meeksc@wwu.edu. The Business Director, Trent Austin austint4@wwu.edu serves as the vice chair.

About the Funds
Student Enhancement Fund: This fund seeks to give all WWU undergraduate students access to funding to attend conferences, workshops, and other unique opportunities that enhance their educational experience, and professional/personal development in ways that can contribute to positive change in our campus communities. The Student Enhancement Fund Coordinator oversees this and co-chairs the committee.
Employee Development Fund: This fund provides funding to student employees within Student Engagement and Associated Students’ offices who are pursuing professional development related to their position. This can cover costs associated with conferences, workshops, and other unique opportunities. The Student Staff Engagement Coordinator oversees this and co-chairs the committee.
