Business Office

The Business Office facilitates the day-to-day financial operations of WWU Student Engagement. We serve as an informational resource for employees and organizations with regards to fiscal procedures and policies. We also ensure that all funds are spent in an ethical and responsible manner, and in accordance with Washington State Law and policies.

Engagement Funds

Welcome to the hub of all funding provided by Student Engagement. Outside of the annual budgets provided to programs, Engagement holds seven designated funds. Each fund is available to particular WWU students, employees, programs, or clubs. The Engagement Unified Funding Form serves as the single, intelligent application platform for accessing these funds. See below for more information, policies, and procedures relating to each fund.
Please note: you must be logged in to WIN to see the Engagement Unified Funding Form.

Reserve Grants

Every year, offices and programs receive an annual operating budget detailing how much can be spent on what. At the end of each fiscal year, unspent money is transferred into a variety of reserve (non-operating) accounts. The discretionary reserve for Grants provides funding for pilot programs lasting a set length of time or onetime expenses unrelated to other designed reserves. Funding for pilot programs through grants allows assessment before the pilot program is incorporated into the annual operating budget. Applications are currently reviewed by the Executive Board.
